Pollena Ewa S.A. Cosmetics Factory received funding for the project entitled “Implementation of new technology for the production of cosmetic products in doypack packaging”, under the regional program European Funds for Łódzkie 2021-2027 (Measures FELD 09.06 R&D for transformation).

The objective of the project is to transform the packaging process from rigid packaging (PET bottles) to flexible packaging of the doypack type, including in particular a PE mono-material variant designed for recycling (circular economy).

People benefiting from the project results, including residents of the Transformation Area designated in the Territorial Just Transformation Plan of the Łódzkie Voivodeship, in particular employees of the Bełchatów energy complex, at risk of losing their jobs as a result of the decommissioning of coal deposits at the “Bełchatów” Lignite Mine and the reduction of employment at the Bełchatów Power Plant due to the change in the entity's economic profile (abandonment of energy generation from conventional sources), and enterprises (including SMEs).

The outcome of the project will be:

- introduction of product innovations: launching the production of new detergent products from the group of liquid soaps, intimate hygiene washes, and body wash gels in 1000ml packaging

- introduction of process innovations, which will contribute to the elimination of raw material waste

- reduction of the amount of production waste,
